Mayson has extensive experience completing oil and gas projects across Western Canada and in the United States. He specializes in using risk assessment approaches to reduce or eliminate remediation requirements to achieve regulatory closure of contaminated sites.
For over 15 years, he has managed multi-disciplinary project teams across Western Canada and in the United States to complete work within a wide variety of sectors, including oil and gas, railway, mining, commercial, and industrial.
Mayson’s expertise includes strong technical review and project oversight, with a focus on the development of innovative approaches in the assessment and clean-up of contaminated sites. Mayson has directed and managed many contaminated soil and groundwater projects from initial investigations to implementation of remediation and/or risk-based solutions. He provides specialist review and advice on a variety of remediation and redevelopment projects in Western Canada.
Mayson has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Victoria and is registered as a Professional Chemist in Alberta and British Columbia.
